Getting there
North Stradbroke Island is serviced by car ferries and water taxis from Brisbane's bayside suburb, Cleveland. Sealed roads link the ferry terminal at Dunwich with Amity Point and Point Lookout. Taxis and the island's own bus service also offer easy transport between the three main centres.
The car ferry takes approximately 45 minutes and the water taxis take approximately 20 minutes to reach Dunwich. From here, Stradbroke Domain Resort is an easy 15 minute drive on a sealed road.

Things to do in the area
North Stradbroke Island offers more to do then you can fit into one holiday. Swim at our famous wide, patrolled surf beaches. Hit the waves with your freshly waxed surfboard. Fish in the surf or on the still water.
In fact, you could join a deep-sea fishing charter or paddle a sea kayak around the caves of North Gorge.
Scuba diving, snorkelling, sandboarding and bike riding are all popular acivities. If you prefer your holiday at a slower pace, there's a golf course, bowls club and many kilometers of bushwalking tracks.
Much of the beach is accessible by Four Wheel Drive. Bring your own and pick up a permit when you arrive or book a 4WD tour on the island to enjoy a day long island safari.
Inland, you can explore North Stradbroke's world-renowned freshwater lake system that includes Brown Lake, Blue Lake and the Keyholes.
When you're ready to relax, book a massage or find yourself a deserted stretch of beach and enjoy the solitude with a good book.
