Dicky Beach is a suburb of the Sunshine Coast located approximately 120km north of Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland, Australia.  It is situated near Caloundra a well known suburb of the Sunshine Coast. The beach is clean and is suitable for swimming, fishing and all sorts of water activities.  It is also a patrolled beach. Dicky Beach was named after a ship that ran aground on the beach and is still there.  It is a perfect place to base yourself to explore the wider Sunshine Coast area, go shopping, sightseeing and try some sport, like golf, bowling or cycling.  There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs and clubs with live entertainment in the area.  There is a variety of accommodation styles available to suit all budgets and tastes.
