Positioned high up in the clouds and nestled amongst the rainforest this exclusive retreat caters for a maximum of only 8 discerning guests at any one time. Mai Tai consists of four romantic Balinese influenced suites, which have been carefully designed with hand carved furnishings and fittings. Each suite has its own beautifully hand carved Balinese king size opium bed and luxury mattress and sheets insuring a comfortable nights sleep. Guest facilities include TV, DVD, mini bars, tea & coffee facilities, safe, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, private bathrooms, walk in robes, private gardens and completely screened.
In addition to Mai Tai we also have Mai Tai Executive Villa, which is positioned at the base of Mai Tai Retreat. The Villa is electronically gated offering a completely private oasis. Situated on 4 acres of lush Tropical Rainforest it offers guests an amazing experience of peace, tranquillity and relaxation without sacrificing any modern comforts. The Executive Villa has been renovated to the highest standards and will accommodate either 2 or 4 Adults. The Mai Tai Villa offers two bedrooms, plus a beautifully appointed ensuite. This Romantic getaway is fully self catered and provides both indoor and outdoor entertainment areas, plus its own tropical saltwater plunge pool.
Every detail has been considered to ensure your unique Rainforest experience. With an exquisite touch of Asian influence your private Villa capture's spectacular views from all rooms into the lush tropical rainforest. From Cairns Airport to Port Douglas is approximately 1 hour by car.
To arrive at Mai Tai Resort, drive north from Cairns along the Cook Highway, following the scenic route along the coast-line.
On your right, you will pass by Yorkey Point, Trinity Beach, Palm Cove, Ellis Beach and then Port Douglas.
As you arrive into Port Douglas you will see a sign-post pointing right off the Cook Highway, which directs you to Port Douglas township. Bypass this sign and keep travelling north along the Cook Highway for approximately 10km until you see the sign-post that reads "Mt. Molloy".
Turn left at this exit and travel for approximately 2.8km until you arrive at the Mai Tai Resort entrance on the right hand side of the road, and follow the driveway up to the top of the hill.
