We welcome you warmly to Lousia's Cottage with the expectation that your stay will be memorable. Furnished with family antiques, Louisa's is a showcase for elegance and comfort . Located in the heart of Sandy Bay, a suburb of Hobart, it was built in 1884, and classified by the National Trust. It has been tastefully restored, with many of the original furnishings remaining - the meticulous attention to detail in each bedroom guarantees you a unique experience.
The house has five guest bedrooms. Each room has its own particular style and offers quality bed linen, quilts, doonas/ duvets, wool blankets, a selection of pillows, hair dryer, heating, television and clock radios. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. Wireless Internet access is available in all rooms.
A hearty continental breakfast including fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast and juices along with freshly brewed coffee or tea, is served in the sunny breakfast room. A refrigerator is available for guest use.
It's an easy walk through historic Battery Point to Salamanca Place, famous for its market on Saturdays, its galleries and its fine food. From there it is on to Hobart's exciting waterfront, and central business district. |

| Getting there |
Louisa's Cottage is situated in the heart of Sandy Bay, 1 km from the Hobart CBD and a similar distance from the Wrest Point Casino. Within a 10 minute walk to Salamanca and Battery Point, and about a 20 minute walk to the Hobart CBD.
From Hobart Airport follow the signs that say Hobart and on crossing the Tasman Bridge the SANDY BAY /WREST POINT signs appear, follow them along Sandy Bay Road. Approaching Sandy Bay shops you will come to a set of traffic lights at King Street. Turn right into King Street and first left into Grosvenor Street, then first left again into Gregory Street. Louisa's Cottage is on your left hand side and is well signed. The entire trip from the airport should take about 25 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
For those visitors without a vehicle a taxi fare will be about AUD $40.00. The Airporter bus meets all flights and the cost is about $14.00 or $25.00 return. The Airporter bus drops you off in Gregory Street.

Hobart's many attractions are within a few minutes easy drive or leave your car in our off street car park if you wish, as you are only around 80 metres from the Sandy Bay shopping precinct, taxi rank or frequent Metro Bus service.

| Check in Procedure |
Check in times are between 2.00pm and 6.00pm. Check in times outside these hours are easily accommodated. Please phone reception 03 6224 4004 and advise us of your ETA. If arriving by AIR it is very helpful to have have your flight #. We can then keep a tab on it via the internet should it be running late and save you concerns. |
