| Getting there |
From Adelaide Airport turn right onto Sir Donald Bradman Drive, left onto South Road and follow this all the way (over Port, Torrens, Regency and Grand Junction Roads). This eventually turns into The Port River Expressway which leads over Port Wakefield Road. Turn right onto Elder Smith Drive into the Mawson Lakes Development then right again onto Main Street. The hotel is located on the left hand side at number 10.
From Adelaide CBD - Head north up King William Street through North Adelaide (O'Connell Street), veer right onto Main North Road for approximately 10kms (travelling through the large intersection at Gepps Cross). Continue over Montague Road and take the second road on the left leading into Mawson Lakes. Once on Mawson Lakes Boulevard veer right Sales and Information Centre, through the lights and park at the Northern end of the hotel. |
| Things to do in the area |
A full 1/3 of the total area of Mawson Lakes is devoted to open spaces including parks, playgrounds, BBQ areas and a meandering 26 kilometre network of hike and bike trails.
Whilst visiting Mawson Lakes why not enjoy a round of golf at The Palms Golf Course, have a hit of tennis at the local courts or check out City Beach - our very own beach Volleyball courts. A number of Gyms and fitness centres are also on offer and welcome casual visitors.
For those wishing to partake in more subdued activities - The Mawson Centre (opposite the hotel) houses the local library and "computer barn".
The Promenade Town Centre offers basic shopping and alfresco dining at a number of cafes and restaurants, including our very own Reef Seafood Restaurant.
An "out of this world" experience can be had by visiting the Adelaide Planetarium located just behind Mawson Lakes Hotel. All enquiries can be directed to the Mawson Lakes Campus - University of South Australia.
For the kids (and young at heart) - Located just up the road at Ingle Farm Shopping Centre is Bowland - 10 pin bowling. Adjacent Mawson Lakes, Parafield airport is home to the Classic Jets Fighter Museum. Cinemas and shopping feature at Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (only a 15 minute drive along Montague Road) and don't forget the popular historic Port Adelaide and wonderful beaches of Semaphore are only 10 minutes away via the newly opened Salisbury highway. A range of school holiday programmes also operate from the Mawson Centre.
Travelling to and from Adelaide CBD has never be easier with the extensive suburban bus network travelling right through the heart of Mawson Lakes. The 15 minute train journey is also a viable option. Having such services on our doorstep opens up a whole new world of things to see and do. |
