| Getting there |
From the City
Cross the Harbour Bridge and follow the signs for Epping (do not take the Pacific Highway exit) along the Gore Hill Freeway. Continue on Epping Road and then on to the M2 Motorway. Take the 2nd exit after the toll, sign posted to Castle Hill and turn right on to Pennant Hills Road. At Thompsons Corner turn left on to Castle Hill Road and turn right at the 2nd set of traffic lights on to New Line Road. Then follow the signs for Wisemans Ferry.
From the North Shore
Make your way to the Pacific Highway and follow the signs to Hornsby (do not take the freeway to Gosford). In Hornsby follow the signs to Galston. You will travel a winding and picturesque road through the Galston Gorge. In Galston follow the signs to Wisemans Ferry.
From the South
Leave the Hume Highway on to the M7 (you need an electronic tag – there are no toll booths – but you can phone in and pay). Leave the M7 at the Norwest Boulevarde exit (approx 36km). At exit turn left on to Norwest Boulevarde following signposts for Castle Hill. Continue to Windsor Road (approx 4km) and turn left. Almost immediately you must turn right on to Showground Road. After approx 1km turn left on to Gilbert Road (signposted to Dural). Continue to Old Northern Road (approx 4km) where you turn left and follow signs to Dural and Wisemans Ferry. You are now about 40 minutes from the Retreat.
From the West
Leave the M4 on to the M7 and follow instructions above “From the South”. Northwest Boulevard exit is approx 15km along the M7.

| Things to do in the area |
There really is so much to see and do in the area. Not a lot of tourist antique shops but beautiful scenery and many examples of the early European settlement of Australia.
You can explore the region:
Afloat - on a conducted kayak tour, or you can learn to water ski or wakeboard for the adventurous - or you can hire a cabin cruiser for a more leisurely experience
On 4 wheels - on a conducted 4WD tour of the local National Parks - or we can provide a map of the local pubs and wineries for the really adventurous
On 3 wheels - on a Harley Davidson trike for the seriously adventurous
On foot - with local guides go bushwalking and discover some of Australia's early settlement

Check in is from 2.00 pm and check out is at 10.00am. Please contact us if you require early check in or late departure as these are easily arranged if available. |

The Retreat is one of the few venues in NSW that offers genuine dedicated conference facilities. The owner of the Retreat, Barry Topple, is an experienced trainer and really understands the special needs of conference organisers and facilitators.
Our conference complex was designed as a specialist facility - not as a multi-purpose building that could be used for meetings one day, a wedding the next, followed by a dinner. The hi-tech centre is fully air-conditioned and has an abundance of natural light but with full blackout facilities. High speed data links to external data sources can be networked throughout the centre via specially designed floor boxes.
