| 20th Anniversary World Expo 88 Charity Dinner |
Corporate Brisbane will commemorate Brisbane’s historic World Expo 88 when they gather for a special Charity Dinner in support of The Courier-Mails Children’s Fund on May 9, 2008 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
South Bank Corporation Chief Executive Officer Malcolm Snow says the 20th Anniversary World Expo 88 Charity Dinner is about remembering the past, celebrating the present and looking to the future, acknowledging the enormous impact the event had on Brisbane’s cultural and economical development.
The Charity Dinner will begin the weekend of the 20th Anniversary World Expo 88 Celebrations.
"It is an opportunity for those who played an integral role in delivering this magnificent event, along with Brisbane’s business leaders to join together and celebrate the contribution Expo had in shaping our city,'' Mr. Snow said.
The Charity Dinner will be hosted by popular Channel Nine personalities and will feature a series of entertainment reminiscent of the surprise, wonder and magic experienced at the Expo, including the ultimate encore performance from classic, iconic Australian Bands and popular entertainers who graced the walkways of Expo 88.
"While we can’t reveal all of the performers that will feature at the 20th Anniversary World Expo 88 Charity Dinner, we promise guests will be delighted,'' Mr. Snow said.
