TWO teenage car thieves had to call police for help after getting cornered - by a herd of wild boar.
Newspaper reports say Dieter Meier and Reiner Klose, both 18, ditched the car and bolted into thick forest as they were chased by police in Germany's Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania region.
The dodged the cops and decided to hole up and wait until the next day - until they were attacked by the pigs.
The animals wouldn't go away even when they fled up a tree, forcing the pair to call police.
They were arrested straight away.
"They were petrified by the boar. They decided arrest was better than the pigs," a police spokesman said.
