The new head of Brisbane Marketing John Aitken has a vision to transform the city into a major international metropolis.

Aitken told Stay 247.com that one of his first tasks was to issue information packs to current Brisbane residents informing them about the numerous merits and activities available in their own city.

``I think a lot of people who live here really have no idea what is available in terms of activities in Brisbane,'' he said.
