Middle East travel heavyweights jetted into Brisbane this week for the opening of Emirates new luxury lounge at Brisbane Airport.
This is no small coffee room. Emirates, which is taking on Qantas and Virgin in a number of its home routes, is spending a cool $4 million on the Brisbane show piece.
Emirates Australian Vice President Stephen Pearse oversaw proceedings with the airlines senior vice president Dale Griffith also attending.
If it is anything like Emirates Dubai lounge, it will be a great addition to the local aviation landscape.
