Perth organisers have come up with a novel method of raising cash for a good cause and attracting tourists at the same time.
The state has initiated "Loud Shirt Day", an event which takes place on May 16, the aim of which is to raise vitally needed funds to help deaf children across the country.
"With advances in medical technology, hearing loss can now be detected at birth," one of the organisers told Stay 247.com.
"Our programs provide intensive therapy, audiological services, counselling and support services for families with a hearing impaired child."
