It is arguably one of the most famous holiday homes in Australia and it has just changed hands again.
The late Beattle's former home atop Hamilton Island has been sold for about $8 million.
The home was built back in 1986 when Hamilton selected the picturesque Whitsunday Island for a quiet secluded getaway retreat.
He later complained and tried to sell it because he felt numerous tourists would regularly drive past the circular home, gazing in and trying to spy the famous Beattle.
The Beattle, who died in 2001, was often quoted as saying he could not work out why a bloke called Williams - that would be Whitsunday developer Keith Williams - sold him his block of dirt so cheaply.
"But then he began selling blocks of dirt around me, saying `be George Harrison's neighbour','' Harrison reckoned.
Although he originally rarely visited the home, in his later years Harrison spent about three months of the year on Hamilton.
The home has two swimming pools, a spa and waterfall and two guest lodges.
