Out of here, out of space!

For those wishing to be able to forge into outer space you can secure your flight by booking Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic spaceship.  For a price, of course but one Brisbane woman has just done that.

Glenys Ambe a 56 year old fashion shop owner has bought a ticket costing $277,400 on the flight that will spend a mere four minutes in space, and yes you do the maths, that's an incredible $69,350 per minute.

Ms Ambe will be one of six passengers and two pilots who will take the trip sometime after 2012.  Why the wait, well they haven't finished testing the commercail version of the planes that will jet off to zero gravity.  Having only once skipped school, Ms Ambe recalls the only day that she ever did was that day 40 years ago when Neil Armstrong took the first steps on the moon, with the permission of her father of course.  To now be in the position to be able to make a small step towards the out of space experience Ms Ambe is obviously extremely excited, over the moon some might say!
