| Stolen... Crocodiles? |
Why, we wonder?
Eighteen young saltwater crocodiles have been stolen from a farm outside Darwin.
The brazen theft occurred between 4pm and 7am, according to local police.
They said an unknown number of thieves entered and farm and took the crocs from their enclosure.
Police were scratching their heads why someone would steal the animals and what they would do with them, pointing out there were no private individual sellers of saltwater crocs in Australia.
Wags suggested a bit of cheap croc meat may soon be on the market.
