| Where to book the business conference? |
Long gone are the days when the weekly team-meet involved eight employees sitting in an office boardroom, drinking instant coffee and eating stale biscuits.
Employers are increasingly stepping outside the square when it comes to booking venues for business conferences and meetings.
Eves on the Park function manager Justine Scarff said since their restaurant opened last year in Brisbane's Roma Street Parkland, the number of bookings for their conference room had steadily grown.
"More and more CBD workers, particularly lawyers and other business executives are booking our conference room on a weekly basis," Ms Scarff said.
"A group might meet for breakfast at our restaurant, undertake team building exercises in Roma Street Parkland, have a two or three course lunch and then head to the conference room for the more serious side of things," she said.
According to Ms Scarff choosing a location outside of the office is not only a great way for employers to impress their employees and clients but it can also help stimulate employee creativity and productivity.
When employees and clients are relaxed, they feel more trust among their peers which promotes open communication.
More often than not, this kind of working environment will stimulate employees creativity when problem solving and discussing work issues, she said.
Eves on the Park restaurant is located at 3 Parkland Boulevard, Roma Street Parkland Brisbane. The restaurant seats 100 and the function and conference room seats 50, standing 70.
